Department of Information Technology started in the year 2008, with an intake of 60 in UG Program. The department grew in stature and today, it is one of the most preferred departments in engineering education in the state. The department has well qualified, experienced & dynamic faculty along with experienced & skilled technical supporting staff who spearhead the process of achieving the vision of the department. The department is well equipped with the latest computing labs & infrastructure, which includes latest and licensed software’s and computers with high configuration. The role of IT in industry includes many things, many people with many jobs and varied responsibilities, these responsibilities range from keeping systems and data secure to keeping networks up and running. There are people who input data, people who manage databases and people who do programming. IT also includes the management of data, whether it is in the form of text, voice, image, audio or some other form. It can also involve things related to the Internet.
