Social Extension Programme
Students develop a sense of belongingness and concern towards the society when they become part of the Social Extension Program. Students participate in a social awareness and education program with the tribals of KD Peta, a tribal habitat that has been adopted by the Jesuit fathers. Students educate the tribals on a variety of aspects living with them. Through this they develop broad understanding of the society and aspects of humanness. Students also extend their services to the society whenever the need arises. They regularly organize blood donation camps, make donations to the sisters of the poor and participate in traffic awareness and other social awareness programs.
Student Organisations and Activities
Students organize themselves into a variety of clubs that undertake activities relevant to their specific club. The clubs span all areas of academic, co-curricular, cultural, literary, sports and games. Students participating in these clubs besides garnering the knowledge also learn social and managerial skills. Co-curricular activities are very much part of the academic program. Activities like seminars, workshops, guest lectures, quizzes, technical symposiums and exhibitions, quizzes, paper presentations and participation in events of other colleges are very much part of the program at ALIET. Students also have adequate facilities of all indoor and outdoor games and sports. The college has spacious grounds to accommodate this. Students also participate in a number of literary and cultural events at the departmental, college and inter-collegiate level.
The campus has facilities to accommodate a large number of inmates into its hostels. Boys and Girls have separate hostels on the college campus. The life at the hostels leaves a unique experience in the hearts of all its inmates, an experience they would cherish in the later years of their life. The ambience in the hostels contributes to enhancing their overall learning experience.
